His previous work with the leading national NGO in Mindanao honed his competence in the areas of institution building along with the concerns for enterprise development. Being a senior international trainer and adviser of CEFE, he has further exposed himself in the rigorous approach of adult learning in the conduct of training and group facilitation.

He continues to update himself with new technologies in development work and training, such as value chain and local/regional enterprise development training, and more recently, business continuity planning and management.
