Winnie Mapenzi is a highly experienced Learning and Development, MEAL, and Programme Management specialist with over 15 years of leadership in the humanitarian and development sectors. She has delivered impactful work across East Africa and Southern Africa, West Africa, and the Horn of Africa, supporting country, regional, and global initiatives with organizations such as Humentum, Save the Children, RedR UK, and multiple UN and NGO partners.

Winnie’s professional expertise spans capacity strengthening, evidence-based programme design, cash and voucher assistance (CVA), accountability systems, organizational learning, and gender-responsive programming. She is known for strengthening teams, building adaptive learning ecosystems, and ensuring that vulnerable populations, especially women and children, remain at the center of responses.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Moi University, Post Graduate Certificate in PR Strategy and Content Writing from Cornell University. Her strong passion for data analytics drives her approach to MEAL, performance improvement, and decision-making, enabling organizations to design programmes that are both community-driven and results-oriented.

With a deep commitment to social justice, evidence use, and organizational excellence, Winnie brings strategic insight, technical depth, and a collaborative spirit to every assignment. Winnie enjoys visiting new destinations, learning about other cultures and exploring technology.
