In addition to information on each agency and its work programme, the Handbook also describes how they cooperate with NGOs." UN Panel on Civil Society "The Panel’s main task is to produce a set of practical recommendations for the Secretary General on how the UN’s relationship with civil society, as well as with private sector and parliaments, could be improved (see the Terms of Reference). At the first meeting in June 2003, the Panel agreed on a Work Program that emphasizes an open, transparent and consultative process. The final report of the Panel will be presented to the Secretary General in April 2004. Information about the Panel’s work will be made available on this site regularly."

United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service The UN's inter-agency programme was established in 1975 "to strenghten UN-NGO dialogue and cooperation...on global sustainable development issues". The website is in English, French and Spanish and contains useful information for NGOs to facilitate interaction with the UN system. The newsletter "GO Between" appears 4-5 times a year.
