"The NGLS Handbook, updated every two years or so, provides in-depth profiles of the UN agencies, programme and funds working for economic and social development. In addition to information on each agency and its work programme, the Handbook also describes how they cooperate with NGOs." Description of each UN agency contains a section on NGO relations with contact addresses.

- UN Panel on Civil Society
"The Panel’s main task is to produce a set of practical recommendations for the Secretary General on how the UN’s relationship with civil society, as well as with private sector and parliaments, could be improved (see the Terms of Reference). At the first meeting in June 2003, the Panel agreed on a Work Program that emphasizes an open, transparent and consultative process. The final report of the Panel will be presented to the Secretary General in April 2004. Information about the Panel’s work will be made available on this site regularly."

The UN's inter-agency programme was established in 1975 "to strenghten UN-NGO dialogue and cooperation...on global sustainable development issues". The website is in English, French and Spanish and contains useful information for NGOs to facilitate interaction with the UN system. The newsletter "GO Between" appears 4-5 times a year.
